Boxoffice Pro is the official publication of the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO), the world’s largest trade association dedicated to protecting the interests of theatrical exhibition. At the beginning of the Event Cinema story there was a decided lack of any hard data about the industr; where it was going, what the box office figures looked like, what the sector was worth, who the top players were. Over several years I collaborated with Dodona Research and IHS Markit to produce 4 groundbreaking industry reports to rectify that.
